I understand you because I am you

Mid-career, I land at a brand consultancy and believe I am on the path to my future self - complex work, a more public profile, growth. It challenged, until it stalled. And, really, my deepest satisfaction comes from mentoring team members, or being thanked by focus group participants who had felt heard. Hmmm…

And, then, there’s a memory that I can’t shake: My 9 yr-old Self dragging my 6 yr old brother out of bed on Saturday morning (!) to teach him my math.

He- groggy, bored. Me - focused, charged. This is what fuels me: I help people stretch, and support them as they do.
